Property owners are responsible for the sewer line on their property. The City is responsible for sewer lines in the public right-of-way and up to the private property line. If a sewer overflow or backup is occurring on one property, it is likely that the problem is on that property. in that case, the property owner should call a plumber to address the problem. 

Water and sewer systems in the Bonaventure development District are maintained by the City of Sunrise. Sewer backup or overflow should be reported to City of Sunrise Utility Department.
